How To Apply For Trade Space at Belsay Horse Trials?

For 2026 Trade stand Applications are closed. Applications for 2027 will open in October 2026.

We do not have one set price. The cost of a trade stand depends on pitch or shedding, the trade stand zone, length of frontage and if you require electrical hook up. Please consult the application form to work out the cost of trading at Belsay International Horse Trials. The difference between Shedding or Pitch is simple. Shedding, we provide your trade stand tent and set it up for you. Pitch, you provide your own trade stand tent and set it up.

Pitch and Shedding cost vary according to the trade stand zone, or how much frontage one desires. .  Please not electric hookup is not included.

Yes, you can purchase an electrical hook up alongside your stand in your application. 

Cost of electrical hook-up is £125.

Applications for trade stands (especially shedding) MUST be received by 1st March 2027. If shedding applications are not received by the deadline, there will be a £100 penalty charge. The deadline for your payment, for all applications, is 30th April 2027.

We welcome applications for food and drink (non-alcoholic). Please note though,  we are always over-subscribed by food retailers and we reserve the right to choose which food retailers attend our events (it is not first come first serve). But please apply by emailing us at tradestands@belsayestate.com.

Yes! Belsay Horse Trials is supported by an impressive array of companies who value our event as a fantastic way to reach new customers and raise awareness of their products and services. We can put together specialist packages for our trade stands including Sunday fence sponsorship, section sponsorship or sponsorship of prizes. Sponsorship can include programme advertising and website/facebook and social media advertising campaigns

We expect around 15 000 spectators at Belsay Horse Trials.

Camping and parking are available on site. Please email us at tradestands@belsayestate.com for further information.

No specific onsite security will be provided. However, there will be contractors and other traders staying overnight on site. 

All exhibitors/trade stands are responsible for the safety of their own stands and the risk that they may pose to other persons within the allocated space or immediate surrounding areas. They must ensure they have complied with all statutory legislation regarding testing of equipment (including their own fire extinguishers), training of staff and erection of equipment. These requirements will be monitored by the Health and Safety Steward and the Organiser.

The exhibitors/trade stands are responsible for all product liability in line with their statutory duties under trade description legislation. Trade stands selling or sampling food and/or drink must be aware of and comply with all food hygiene and safety regulations.

It is recommended by British Eventing that all Trade Stand owners ensure they are covered under their own Third-Party insurance for any foreseeable risks.

From 08h00 to 18h00

Trade Stands must be erected on the specified days and times stated on the application form.
You will be sent full instructions prior to this and entry will be well signposted.

Pitches and shedding will be in a pre-ordained plan and you will be shown your spot on arrival.

All Trade Stands are responsible for removing their own waste and litter! Please do not use the public rubbish bins at the ring side to dispose of cardboard boxes etc. The organisers of Belsay Horse Trials reserve the right to impose fines on those traders who contravene these rules.
