BELSAY IS AWARDED FOUR-STAR STATUS!

We are ecstatic to announce that we have been awarded a CCI4*-S for 2026 and beyond.

Belsay International Horse Trials 2026 will host a CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S and CCI1* and run from 15-17 May. This is the weekend that the events at Chatsworth and Floors Castle formerly occupied. We will also host national classes which will be confirmed following publication of the 2026 British Eventing national fixture calendar.

We are so grateful to the riders, owners, sponsors and spectators that trusted our brilliant team and came to Northumberland in 2025 for our inaugural ‘one-off’ CCI4* fixture. The support that we received was overwhelming and has no doubt supported our efforts to secure long-term four-star status for Belsay.

Laura de Wesselow said: “2025 was a Herculean effort – each event had a different show field site as well as different cross-country courses. It would be unrealistic to think that we could continue to host two events so close together every year, so we have made the sad decision to relinquish our original date, which was normally the last weekend in May.

“We are very excited to take on this new date and fixture for the next cycle, and we are in the process of a huge amount of planning – so watch this space!”
