An overview of our exciting competition in 2023:

We’ve got so many classes in our schedule this year, so we thought we would point out some highlights during the coming weeks, but first, here’s an overview:
 
Our national classes run from BE90 & BE100 level (including u18 and Open), through Novice & Open Novice (including 6YO specific section), to Intermediate, OI and Intermediate Masters for the second year – we are one of only three venues in the country to host this special class.
 
Our international classes feature two National Youth Championships – CCI2*P for the British Pony Championships and CCI2*J-L for the Junior National Championships. Alongside this, we now also have a CCI2*L. In addition to our existing CCI2*S, we have a brand new CCI3*S – both classes will host the first leg of the Northumberland Challenge, with an even bigger prize pot in 2023, and we also have a CCI1* for the first time!
 
Our courses are known for being bold, flowing and beautifully decorated, making the most of the natural terrain that is home to Belsay.

Wednesday 31st May & Thursday 1st June 2023

Come and watch the dressage for the International CCI2*-L and CCI2*J and CCI 2*S on Wednesday 31st May, throughout the afternoon. On Thursday 1st June there will be International Dressage taking place all day, including CCI2*L, CCI2*J, CCI2*S, CCI2*P and CCI3*S.

Featuring Dressage for CCI3*S and CCI1*, Cross Country for the CCI2*L, Juniors & CCI2*P and Show Jumping and Cross Country for the CCI2*-S, as well as national Novice & 6 YO classes. NSEA Competition, Shopping, Food, Fun Fair, Dog Displays and Dog Show and Public Bar.

Saturday 3rd June 2023

Featuring Final Show Jumping (in reverse order) for the CCI2*P & CCI2*J & CCI2*L plus showjumping for CCI3*S competitors, who will then head out on the XC course in the afternoon. National classes running throughout the day include CCI1*, BE100 Open, BE100, Intermediate, Open Intermediate and Intermediate Masters. BSPS Working Hunter Pony Show, Shopping, Food, Fun Fair, Dog Displays and Dog Show and Public Bar.

Featuring Show Jumping for the International CCI1*. National classes running throughout the day include BE105, BE100u18, BE90 and BE90u18. Arena eventing & young horse classes will take place in the Castle Arena, with our infamous Inter-Hunt club relay to end the action of the day. Shopping, Food, Fun Fair, Dog Displays and Dog Show and Public Bar.
