A huge welcome to owners coming to Belsay

Here at Belsay we are always trying to improve our offer for owners and riders by providing better facilities, fantastic competition and good prize money.  We are passionate about our event and hope that you enjoy your experience here.

EHOA Owners Marquee at Belsay International

Belsay International is delighted to host a Marquee for the Event Horse Owners Association this year.  Situated directly adjacent to the Corporate Hospitality Tent by the Main International Arena, the EHOA tent will be open to welcome owners with tea, coffee and other light refreshments from Wednesday 31st May to Sunday 4thJune 2023.  Owners will be able to watch Dressage and Show Jumping direct from the marquee and we hope you will also enjoy walking out across our Grade 1 listed Parkland with its excellent viewing to see your horses go cross country.

If your horse is competing in our CCI2*-L please do come and watch the first and second horse inspections which will take place in front of Belsay Hall.

More International Classes and a Team Competition!

Alongside the Pony and Junior British National Championships, Belsay will host a CCI2*L, CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S and CCI1* Intro international classes this year, as well as national classes from BE90 to Open Intermediate … so there is plenty of choice for your riders and their horses.

Also new for 2023 is the inaugural Project Pony Allstars @ Belsay Team Competition! Project Pony All Stars @ Belsay will involve approximately 10 teams, each made up of riders from the British Pony Championship, British Junior Championship and a minimum of two senior riders from the international classes. These teams will compete against each other to win the Project Pony All Stars @ Belsay title. Points will be awarded to team members across each discipline, with the best overall team score winning. There will be a £3,000 prize pot which will be shared amongst the senior riders finishing in the top three teams, and non-cash prizes for the Pony and Junior riders.

Teams will be selected at random, with a live draw to be made prior to the start of the event.

The idea is to encourage interaction and collaboration between the riders, allowing youth riders the opportunity to team up with the stars of the sport they all look up to, but also giving senior riders a chance to meet and encourage the great group of youth riders that are coming through the system. Most importantly we hope it will be a fun competition for all to enjoy.
