Eco Voltz Unsung Hero Award 2024

In 2022 Eco Voltz Equestrian launched the Unsung Hero Award to recognise the hard work of grooms, supporters and volunteers at Belsay International Horse Trials. This exciting award continues to feature in our 2024 event.

Grooms and support teams are key to helping riders achieve their goals, and they also share in the low points when things don’t go to plan. BE Volunteers are the heart and soul of any event and without their help it would simply not be impossible to run the events that we all love so much.

Make Your 2024 Nomination

If you know someone that deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication to eventing, nominate them for the Eco Voltz Equestrian Unsung Hero Award.

Importantly: your nominee needs to be someone who is going to be in attendance at Belsay International Horse Trials (29th May – 2nd June 2024), as the winner will be announced and prizes presented during the event.

To submit: please DM the Eco Voltz Equestrian Facebook page with the name and details of your unsung hero.

In 2024, the lucky winner of this award will receive a bottle of champagne and a £250 cheque from Eco Voltz.

Our 2023 Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Eco Voltz Unsung Hero Award at Belsay International Horse Trials 2023.
With so many entries it was difficult to choose just one so we decided to split the prize between two deserving winners.

Mia Newcombe was nominated by Emma Carmichael for her dedication following Emma’s accident, going above and beyond in her role as head girl, keeping things running smoothly on the yard.

Sue Walby was nominated an amazing three times by Mary Ann Reay, Jean Cheesebrough and Jess Reay for her hard work as a volunteer at Belsay International, where she is affectionately known as the bun lady.

As well as having a trade stand at Belsay International, Eco-Voltz will sponsor a Cross Country fence and have a feature Show Jump in the Main International Arena. The company is also creating a special ‘Unsung Hero’ Award for the top groom, supporter or volunteer at Belsay International and will be inviting nominations via the Belsay and Eco-Voltz social media channels.

We are so excited about this partnership!
